Jerez Airport

Jerez Airport or Aeropuerto de Jerez (IATA: XRY, ICAO: LEJR) is an airport located 10 km north of Jerez de la Frontera in Southern Spain, about 80 km from Seville and 45 km from Cadiz. Jerez is an area famous for its sherry and its wonderful dancing Andalucian horse shows.It is a less well known airport for UK tourists travelling to the Costa del Sol but a useful destination for anyone wishing to travel to Gibraltar, Cadiz, Seville and other areas in the Costa del Sol.

Jerez Airport is an ideal airport to land at if you are going to Cadiz, Tarifa, Seville or even the Costa del Sol which is only a 90 minute drive away. Most visitors at the airport arrive from Germany and the UK however around 36% of all passengers arrive at Jerez Airport on internal Spanish flights.

Ryanair is now offering regular flights to Jerez Airport from the UK and this has helped increase passenger numbers at the airport to 1.1 million in 2004.
